Describing and Analysing an AD

This document is an advertising campaign for diveristy made by the antidiscrimination board of NSW. The organization is based in Australia as we can see in the bottom of the picture three names of Australian cities. The purpose of this ad is to promote diversity and to fight against all kind of discrimination.

The picture is bright blue. On the top of the picture, we can see some fishes. They are beautiful and all different. The picture seems to have been taken from the deep ocean. The fishes are swimming together. There are also corals. The water is bright blue. The picture is really beautiful and is the symbol of variety and diversity. It seems so quiet. Fishes do not seem to care that they do not look alike.
At the bottom, there is a big title "Diversity makes the difference". The organization wants to draw the attention of the reader to the fact that diversity is a good thing.
Below this title, there is a small text promoting NSW's actions. NSW is an organization fighting against any kind of discrimination (race, age, sex...) They target people who may feel discriminated at work, in their everyday's life. They also try to convince the others about the advantages of diversity.
The website of the organization is listed below the small text and on the bottom right there are the phone number of three local offices.

To my mind, the message is very clear. But the picture is not appropriate. If I had been the organization, I would have chosen a picture with humans because people might not get the idea that this picture promotes diversity. They might not understand the meaning of the different fishes... Nevertheless, the message is efficient. It is big enough to draw the reader's attention on NSW's actions. People who were not aware of this organization, will definitely know what it does and promotes.
